“Fire” is the symbol of LOVE. That is what John Wesley said. I think it is no accident that this burning symbol of love wrapped around the cross, as if going into it and coming out from it is the symbol of United Methodism. Amen.

John Wesley was also passionate that Methodists should be in Connection. In Wesley's native English the word is spelled with an "x". How perfect, that the letter “X” which is also a symbol for the Christ who is at the center of our lives should be at the center of our United Methodist ConneXion.
